The Body Movement is owned and operated by Fitness Professional Sierra Rich. For years, Sierra has been utilizing her knowledge in the health and fitness industry to help better the lives of those around her which has earned her the award of Thumbtack's #1 Personal Trainer in Tempe two years in a row.
Sierra utilizes a variety of training styles to customize a program that will help you reach your goals in an efficient and effective way, creating better overall movement and results. Speed/Agility Training, HIIT circuits, Z-Health Elite Essentials, R-Phase, and I-phase drills, Olympic lifting techniques, TRX Suspension Training, and Kettle Bell Training are just a few of the modalities used during training.
Sierra operates The Body Movement out of a gym conveniently located inside of Bingham Health & Fitness in the East Valley, on the Tempe - Mesa - Chandler border. Owner / Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor
Sierra grew up a competitive gymnast and spent many years in Michigan and Colorado as a gymnastic instructor before moving to Phoenix, AZ. Her extensive knowledge of fitness comes from her education as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Z-Health Performance Solutions; a brain based approach to fitness, specializing in pain management and remobilization.
Her education and experience as both an athlete and coach, gives her a unique perspective and ability to improve her client's overall health, reduce and eliminate pain, improve range of motion, movement fluidity, and improve strength performance; through many different training modalities. In addition to her education, Sierra is a former Jr. Nationally Qualified NPC Bikini Competitor.
In 2017, Sierra gave birth to her first child and has since been focused on her own postpartum journey while also encouraging and supporting others. She had her second child in 2019 and continues to make health and fitness a major focus in her life. She believes in the power of being an example for both her children and other's in her life and community.
She is dedicated to utilizing health & fitness to transform people mentally and physically. The Body Movement was built on the concept that balancing your physical health alongside your mental health can lead to incredible results. Movement is medicine and no matter where someone's journey starts, Sierra is committed to walking beside them every step of the way. Her main focus is about creating a family-like community of people through her group training and personal training clients that encourage, support, and keep each other accountable in reaching their goals both inside and outside of the gym.
